Wednesday Morning Bible Study
Embarking on something new can be a bit intimidating, but fear not! We’re here to calm those nerves and extend a warm invitation to our Wednesday Morning Bible Study. If you’ve been curious about what happens during our gatherings, this blog post is your insider’s guide to what you can expect.
Schedule:
- 10:30 am – 10:50 am: Arrive and be greeted by friendly faces. This is the start of our Fellowship Time – a chance to mingle, connect, and build friendships within our church community.
- 10:50 am – 11:20 am: Get ready to dive into the heart of our Bible study. During this time, we’ll be exploring the Gospel of Luke in a unique and engaging way. The focus? Seeing Jesus through the eyes of those who witnessed his extraordinary life. Expect an interactive and discussion-based study that will deepen your understanding of Christ.
- 11:20 am – 11:30 am: As our study wraps up, we’ll transition into a time of prayer. This is an opportunity to share our thoughts, concerns, and lift each other up in prayer. It’s a special moment of connection with God and one another.
Study Overview:
Our study isn’t your typical lecture-style gathering. We’re taking a fresh approach, delving into the first 10 chapters of the Gospel of Luke through the eyes of those who witnessed Jesus firsthand. This isn’t about formal teaching but about collective exploration and discussion.
Here’s a glimpse of what to expect:
- Each week, a specific passage will be provided for you to read and study before our session.
- Our discussions will be centered around the eyewitness accounts, unraveling the stories that bring us closer to Christ.
- The leader will guide us, keeping an eye on time to ensure our study is a fulfilling hour of discovery.
Participant Guidelines:
If you are new to a Bible Study or have not been for awhile we’ve put together some friendly participant suggestions:
- Be Open to Learn: Come with an open heart and a willingness to learn. Each person’s unique perspective adds to the richness of our discussions.
- Let the Biblical Text Speak: Allow the Bible to speak for itself. Leave preconceived ideas behind as we explore the richness of the Gospel of Luke together.
- Stay in the Passage: While cross-references may be occasionally needed, our leader will guide us. Let’s stay focused on the passages at hand to make the most of our time.
- Stay on Point with Discussion: Engage actively in our discussions, keeping thoughts connected to the topic. This ensures a fruitful exploration of the Scriptures.
- Encourage All Voices: Whether you’re talkative or reserved, every voice matters. Create space for quieter individuals to contribute, and let’s honor each other by truly listening.
Our Wednesday Bible Study is not just an event; it’s a community coming together to explore, learn, and grow. We can’t wait to welcome you into this inspiring journey of discovery. Don’t let fear hold you back – join us and be a part of something truly special!
