What Is Next?
As we wrap up our incredible journey through the Gospel of Luke, I want to take a moment to reflect on the past 26 weeks we’ve spent immersed in this profound book. What a journey it has been! Together, we’ve dove into the life, teachings, and miracles of Jesus, gaining deeper insights into His character and mission. Luke, writing to Theophilus, ensured that we could be certain about Jesus (Luke 1:4), and I trust that this study has strengthened our faith and conviction in who He is.
As believers in Christ today, confident in our understanding of Jesus through Luke’s gospel, we are called not only to believe but to live differently. Luke’s narrative has reminded us that our faith should shape every aspect of our lives—our relationships, our choices, and our priorities.
Now, as we conclude this chapter, we ask ourselves, “What’s next?” How do we translate our knowledge and belief into action? The answer lies in obedience—obedience to God’s will, His Word, and His calling for our lives. This is not merely a theoretical exercise but a practical commitment to aligning our lives with His truth and grace.
I am excited for our upcoming sermon series titled ‘Different = Obedient’. Over the next 8 weeks, we will explore what it means to live obediently to God in crucial areas of our lives—marriage, parenting, finances, decision-making, and our daily walk with Jesus. Each week, we will dive deep into Scripture to uncover God’s wisdom and guidance for living distinctly as His followers.
